Guitar (431160) Students learn music through guitar performance by practicing the elements of classical and folk performing styles through the study of note-reading, chords, basic theory, and basic strum and pick patterns. Through the course of the semester, students create a personal set list and form their own album in small groups. Previous guitar experience is not required. All students must provide their own guitar for class. Theatre (665170) Students develop knowledge of theatre through participation in learning activities with a focus on improvisation, theatre games, and performances. They develop a broad base of knowledge of theatrical texts, and they practice some of the techniques required for successful playwriting.
